Stories of Loss. Journeys of Healing.

Through heartbreaking moments and unbreakable love, stories remind us that even in our darkest moments, hope can still take root.

TOO LATE TO SAY GOODBYE

“Too Late to Say Goodbye,” written by Jamie Young, is a heartfelt exploration of themes such as responsibility, family dynamics, and the bond between humans and pets. The narrative begins with Lisa Heherhorst, a mother who is initially skeptical about her friend Anne’s decision to give her daughter, Katie, a baby bunny named Whiskers. Despite her reservations, Lisa witnesses her daughter’s growing affection for the pet and recognizes a valuable opportunity for Katie to learn about responsibility.

No Time To Cry

At 39, Jamle Young is no stranger to responsibility-but nothing prepares her for the weight of losing her mother to a preventable heart attack. Before she can even begin to grieve, she’s thrust deeper into caregiving, tending to her 90-year-old grandmother battling end-stage dementia.
With her own health struggles mounting, Jamie is forced to suppress her sorrow and keep moving forward-for her grandmother, for her pets, and for herself. But when her grandmother passes away just days after Christmas, the emotional toll becomes impossible to Ignore
No Time to Cry is a deeply raw and heartfelt story about love, loss, and the quiet strength it takes to endure life’s harshest moments. It explores what happens when grief is delayed, resilience is tested, and healing feels just out of reach.

Jamie Young is a Texas native who discovered her love of writing in late elementary school, crafting short stories inspired by playful pranks and imaginative scenarios.
She graduated from Jersey Village High School in 2001, earned her Associate’s degree from Lone Star College-Cypress in 2007, and completed her Bachelor’s degree at Houston Baptist University in 2011.
Jamie lives in Texas with her pets-Lola, a lop-eared rabbit: Serafina, a Russian Blue cat, and Rascal, a mischievous tabby cat.
Her debut book, Too Late to Say Goodbye, was inspired by the loss of her father and explores themes of grief, resilience, and hope. Writing this book allowed Jamie to process her own experiences with loss, and she hopes it will offer readers comfort and insight as they navigate their own journeys.
